Replacing Commercial Sewer Pump Systems and Installing New Basin Services
Our team attended a commercial property in Castle Hill to replace two ageing pump-out lifting stations and complete the installation of a new basin, including hot and cold water service connections and associated plumbing modifications.
Pump-out lifting stations play a critical role in many commercial buildings where wastewater cannot flow to the sewer by gravity alone. Instead, wastewater is collected within a holding chamber and pumped to the sewer system when required. When these systems become unreliable, prompt replacement is often necessary to avoid operational disruptions and potential wastewater issues.
For this project, two existing lifting stations were removed and replaced with new units designed to provide reliable wastewater transfer and long-term performance. Associated pipework was upgraded and modified to suit the new pump station configuration before both systems were tested and commissioned.
Once installation was complete, the pumps were run through multiple operating cycles to confirm correct functionality, discharge performance, and leak-free operation.
New Basin and Water Service Installation
As part of the same project, our team also completed the installation of a new basin and tapware.
The benchtop was modified to suit the new fixture before new hot and cold water services were installed from the roof space to the basin location. Pipework was carefully routed through roof cavities and wall spaces to provide a neat, concealed finish while maintaining access to the existing water supply system.
Following installation, all pipework was pressure tested to verify system integrity and ensure there were no leaks. The basin and tapware were then commissioned and tested to confirm reliable operation.
