Our licensed drainage specialists recently completed a stormwater pipe repair and drainage inspection point installation at a home in Freshwater, Sydney. Our plumbers started by digging a fresh trench to expose the damaged stormwater pipework. The pipe had been crushed, so our plumbers cut out and removed it as well as dislodging a smelly blockage ball.
To improve long-term drainage performance and create easier access for maintenance, we supplied and installed a new PVC junction, raised it to surface level and fitted a grated drain to improve surface water capture.
Our plumbers then installed the new stormwater pipework and securely attached it to the existing drainage line, encasing it in concrete for added durability and protection. Blue metal aggregate was also placed around the pipes to improve support and drainage before backfilling the remaining soil and reinstating the crushed terracotta landscaping.
Once this process was completed, the entire stormwater system was thoroughly tested and commissioned to ensure that it works properly and the water flows correctly.
