Stormwater Drainage Upgrade, Sub-Soil Drain Installation & Waterproofing Seven Hills

Expert Stormwater Drainage Upgrade, Sub-Soil Drain Installation & Waterproofing For A Seven Hills Home

Our team attended a property in Seven Hills to complete a comprehensive stormwater and sub-soil drainage upgrade, including new pits, pumps, waterproofing, and rerouted downpipe lines to protect the home from water ingress and improve overall site drainage.

The job included:

  • Marking out, cutting and removing sections of the concrete driveway for trenching new drainage lines.

  • Excavating a trench from the front right corner of the home to the rear left corner for new sub-soil drain lines.

  • Connecting existing channel grate drains and carport downpipes into the new drainage system.

  • Excavating an additional trench to a second pit near the water meter for the stormwater main outlet pit.

  • Supplying, installing and concreted two new drainage pits, ensuring correct levels and stable positioning.

  • Prepared trench bases to achieve proper drainage fall.

  • High-pressure cleaned the front wall below ground level, sealed cracks with sand/cement, and applied two coats of waterproof membrane to wall and footings.

  • Installed builders plastic/core flute as a protective barrier along trench walls.

  • Installed PVC main drain, full-length sub-soil drainage, and integrated multiple connection points.

  • Installed new pumps inside pits and connected them to downpipe lines discharging to the street.

  • Supplied and installed a weatherproof outdoor power point for the pump (installed by a licensed electrician).

  • Core-drilled walls for rerouted downpipe drainage lines.

  • Diverted downpipes and ran a charged line to the front boundary stormwater pit.

  • Ran pump-out lines up the wall and connected into the rear left downpipe, directing flow through the charged stormwater system.

  • Excavate a trench across the nature strip to the curb and core-drill the street kerb outlet.

  • Filled trenches with 10–20mm aggregate over sub-soil drains and covered with geo-textile fabric.

  • Backfilled all trenches, reinstated areas where concrete was removed, and secured all pipework with clips and saddles.

  • Sealed around all penetrations and pits, removed spoil via an onsite skip bin, and thoroughly cleaned all work areas.

  • Fully tested and commissioned the entire drainage system.
