Reliable Sub-Soil Drainage & Stormwater Pump Pit Installation In Davidson 🪠
Our team attended a home in Davidson to install a complete sub-soil drainage and stormwater pump-out system, designed to manage groundwater buildup beneath the home and prevent moisture and flooding issues.
This job included:
-
Excavated a trench beneath the house at the lowest point to install a new stormwater pump pit.
-
Excavated two additional trenches under the house for new AG (sub-soil) drainage pipes.
-
Removed all excavated soil and spoils from the site.
-
Supplied and installed a 450mm x 450mm stormwater pit, fitted with geofabric filter mesh to prevent sand and silt entering the pit and pump.
-
Supplied and installed a heavy-duty automatic float stormwater pump with an internal check valve.
-
Installed 40mm PVC pump-out pipework, including core drilling through the external wall and sealing the penetration, connecting into the existing downpipe.
-
Supplied and installed a new power point under the house for the pump (installed by a licensed electrician).
-
Installed 100mm AG pipes wrapped in geofabric to collect excess sub-soil water and direct it into the pump pit.
-
Backfilled around AG pipes with blue metal aggregate to promote effective drainage.
Once the installation was complete, the entire system was tested and commissioned to ensure that it was working as effectively as possible. The job site was then cleaned and all waste and rubbish was removed, leaving the home neat and tidy.
