Sub-Soil Drainage, Pit & Pump Installation In Davidson
Our team attended a property in Davidson to install a complete sub-soil drainage and stormwater pump system. This system is designed to manage groundwater buildup and protect the home from moisture and flooding issues.
This job was complex and involved a number of steps and processes. However, our team handled it with confidence.
The scope of the works included:
-
Excavated a trench beneath the house at the lowest point to install a new drainage pit.
-
Excavated two additional trenches under the house for new AG (sub-soil) drainage pipes.
-
Removed all excavated spoil and dirt from the site.
-
Supplied and installed a 450mm x 450mm stormwater pit, fitted with geo-fabric mesh on the grate to prevent sand and silt from entering the pump.
-
Installed a heavy-duty automatic float stormwater pump with check valve inside the pit.
-
Installed 40mm PVC pump-out pipe to connect the pump to the external PVC downpipe, including core drilling and sealing the wall penetration.
-
Supplied and installed a new power point under the house for the pump (installed by a licensed electrician).
-
Installed 100mm AG pipes wrapped in geofabric to collect sub-soil water and direct it into the new pit.
-
Backfilled around the AG pipes using blue metal aggregate to support drainage performance.
-
Fully tested, commissioned, and verified correct operation of the system.
-
Cleaned the work area and removed all waste from site.
