Outdoor Shower Installation, Drainage Works & Plumbing Upgrades – Narrabeen
We were called out to a residential property in Narrabeen to complete a series of plumbing renovation works as part of an outdoor upgrade. The homeowner wanted a functional outdoor shower installed, along with improvements to drainage, gas pipework, and garden plumbing to better suit the updated layout of the property.
Outdoor Shower Installation & Drainage
The project began with preparation for the new outdoor shower. Sections of the concrete footpath were carefully marked, cut, and removed to allow for new drainage to be installed. We then excavated down to the existing sewer line and connected new drainage close to the shower location to ensure proper water runoff.
New shower drainage pipework was installed and supported, then sparged with 8–10mm aggregate to provide stability and effective drainage. From there, we cut into the existing hot and cold water lines and ran new copper pipework directly to the outdoor shower.
The client-supplied prefabricated shower breech was mounted securely to the wall, with all pipework clipped and saddled neatly in place. Once installed, the outdoor shower system was fully tested and commissioned to confirm correct operation.
Rainwater Tank Removal & Gas Pipework Reconnection
As part of the renovation, the existing rainwater tank located at the side of the house was no longer required. Our team disconnected and removed the tank from site and redirected the downpipe to the front right-hand downpipe of the property.
The tank removal also affected existing gas pipework that had previously been routed around it. This section of gas pipework was cut out and removed, then replaced with new copper gas pipework. The new gas line was securely clipped and saddled along the wall before being tested and commissioned to ensure safe and compliant operation.
Back Garden Plumbing Upgrades
To complete the works, we carried out plumbing upgrades in the back garden. The water supply was isolated, and the lines were drained down before the existing garden tap was removed.
New copper pipework was supplied and installed, along with a new hose connection positioned at the requested height for easier access. All plumbing works were then tested and commissioned.
Once everything was complete, all work areas were cleaned, and all rubbish was removed from the site, leaving the property tidy and ready to enjoy.
